The 3500 GT was Maserati's first series-production car, and the twin sister of the Lancia Flaminia GT, both bodied by Carrozzeria Touring. It stood out for its handling, quietness and comfort, until then unknown in this segment of the market.

Hand assembly at Touring accounts for the small differences in body width and length from car to car.
