Although the Triumph 20TS prototype did not go into production, a reworked version with a ladder-type chassis and a longer body would achieve success as the Triumph TR2.
Popular with American buyers on the West Coast (it's an open tourer), it sold very well.
The TR3, launched 2 years later with more power, better braking and a redesigned grille, was a jackpot!
