Description
Volkswagen Type 2 Split Screen, ribbed style (1950–1957).
Conceived by the Dutch importer Ben Pon, the Type 2 went into production on 8 March 1950, initially as the Kombi and the Commercial, joined by the Microbus in May 1950. It was then powered by a 1,131 cc, 25 hp air-cooled flat-four, enlarged to 1,192 cc and 30 hp in 1953.
New ribbed stainless steel bumpers for the Volkswagen Type 2 Split Screen from 1950 to 1957; they fit all Split Screens of this period. The set comprises 1 front bumper and 1 rear bumper.
All our bumpers are inspected, then hand-finished in our workshop in Beaumontois en Périgord, in the Dordogne.
Please note: panel vans and pick-ups have different rear bumpers; the pick-up rear bumper is not included.

FINISHES
All our bumpers are trial-fitted, then given an exclusive hand finish in our Dordogne workshop.
The result is unrivalled quality. Before dispatch, each one is dressed with a file so that no cutting marks or sharp edges remain, then smoothed with fine sandpaper.
This finish is unique to our products: it is our signature and our commitment to quality.
